Residents capture, kill bandits’ informer in Katsina
A man suspected to be an informant for bandits was captured and killed by angry residents in Karfi, a community in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The incident, which happened on Tuesday evening, was revealed by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on X on Wednesday morning.
According to Bakatsine, the suspect confessed to helping bandits plan and carry out attacks on Karfi, Tashar-Fulani, and Layin Minister.
He also admitted to kidnapping a woman known as Hajiyar Buroni using a motorcycle.
When he was caught, residents found charms and an incense pot in his possession.
“Yesterday evening, residents caught and killed bandits informer in Karfi, Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State. He confessed to coordinating attacks on Karfi, Tashar-Fulani, Layin Minister.
He also admitted to kidnapping a woman known as Hajiyar Buroni, whom he transported on a motorcycle. He was found with charms and an incense pot,” Bakatsine wrote.
This incident comes just a few hours after bandits stormed Yar Santa in Safana Local Government Area, Katsina State.
During the night attack, several people, mostly women and children, were abducted.
