Police Recover Gun From Two Ladies In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has recovered a semi-automatic pistol from two women in the Ipaja area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this in a post on X on Tuesday.
He explained that officers of the Ipaja Division stopped the women for a routine check and, after a brief and non-intrusive search, discovered the firearm in one of their bags.
Hundeyin stated that one of the women later led the police to her husband, who owns the gun.
“After a cursory and non-intrusive look at the contents of their bags, this semi-automatic pistol was found in their possession by police officers of Ipaja Division.
“One of the ladies led the police to the owner of the firearm – her husband. [The] case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
“One less illegal firearm in circulation. @LagosPoliceNG is your friend!”, he said.
