The Rivers State Police Command has declared two suspects wanted for their alleged roles in a violent attack on Goodluck Iheanachor, the Sole Administrator of Ahoada-East Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as Mr. Hector Ekakita, Chief Security Officer (CSO), and Mr. Aloni Olodi, Chief of Staff (COS), both of Ahoada-East LGA, have been accused of criminal conspiracy, stealing, assault occasioning harm, and attempted murder.
According to the Command’s Spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, the attack occurred on June 20, 2025, at the Council Secretariat in Ahoada East, where Iheanachor was assaulted by a gang of about thirty persons.
She noted that during the attack, the administrator sustained injuries, and his mobile phones and vital documents were stolen.
The suspects allegedly forced him to sign a resignation letter under duress and carted away personal and official properties from his office.
Despite being invited to report to the Police State Headquarters for questioning, the suspects failed to honor the directive.
Consequently, Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has declared them wanted.
The police commissioner warned that anyone found in aiding, hiding, or assisting the wanted individuals would face the full weight of the law.
The CP, however, urged Individuals with credible information on the whereabouts of the suspects are urged to contact the Police State Headquarters, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt, or call the Command Control Room and Complaint Response Unit.
