Police Arrest Prime Suspect In Burning Of 74-Year-Old Woman In Anambra

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested the prime suspect in the burning and killing of a 74-year-old woman in Abagana.
The arrest is coming eight days after they apprehended four suspects involved in the crime.
According to a statement by the Commands Spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga on Tuesday the prime suspect was apprehended and was being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a debrief.
He said: “The suspect: Obinna Anene ‘m’ aged 33yrs of Amene Village, Abagana, who was mentioned as the principal suspect in the case of burning and killing of a 74-year-old woman, Alice Anene, at Abagana on 27/01/2025, has been arrested.
“He is being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Homicide SCID Section Awka for a debrief.”
