The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Samson Oghenebreme, for having human organs in the Odomola community, Epe.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the Command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspect was apprehended by officers attached to the Odo-Noforija Division on April 25, following credible intelligence from residents who observed his suspicious movements.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Oghenebreme was transporting the organs from Edo State, intending to deliver them to a native doctor for use in money-making rituals.

The recovered human parts have since been deposited at the General Hospital, Epe, for preservation.

The case has been transferred to the Edo State Police Command, where further investigation and prosecution will be carried out.
