Chief Joseph Penawou, Chairman of First Marine Engineering Services Ltd and Founder of the Joseph Penawou (JP) Foundation, has been nominated for the African Philanthropist Award at the 4th AFRIHeritage Awards, scheduled for April 11, 2026, in Accra, Ghana. The nomination recognizes Chief Penawou’s sustained, community‑centred philanthropy and long‑term commitment to social development.
Under Chief Penawou’s leadership, the JP Foundation has delivered targeted interventions in healthcare, education, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation.
