The Oyo State Government has demolished buildings and structures used by Illegal diesel marketers along Ibadan-Lagos expressway.

The Oyo State Government through the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, during the demolition exercise frowned against sales of fake diesel.

Mogbonjubola warned perpetrators to desist from such acts as the government will ensure they are tracked down and arrested.

He decried the persistent sale of adulterated diesel products at unauthorised places especially on the expressway.

He condemned the continuous activities of the illegal marketers, in spite of several warnings from the state government.

“We have visited this place on many occasions to warn you of the need to put a halt to this illegal trading of the products along this axis, but you refused.

“Henceforth, illegal buying or selling of diesel on this corridor should stop, otherwise erring individuals will face the wrath of the law.”
