Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has congratulated a lawmaker representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Nnamdi Ibekwe for emerging Independent Newspaper’s Legislator of the Year ( State).
The governor congratulated the lawmaker in a letter signed by the Secretary to the house committee on Media and Publicity Abia State House of Assembly, Mr. Henry Madubuike on Tuesday.
The letter reads “I warmly felicitate with you on your nomination as ‘Legislator of the year (State)’ by the Independent Newspaper.”
The felicitation also noted that “leadership is a sacred trust” and that the lawmaker’s legacy will be remembered for generations to come for his selfless services in his constituency such as light up Umunna programme wherein solar lights were installed, Construction of 250 meters with 23 meters culvert erosion control drainage at Umuenyere Alayi and many more.”
The governor said, “This recognition is not merely an honour, but a resounding testimonial to your dedication, foresight, and unwavering commitment to the people of Bende North State Constituency,” The letter reads.
The felicitation further highlighted the lawmaker’s “legislative craftsmanship” as a testament to his purposeful leadership and political prowess.
“Your legislative craftsmanship, which is a testament of your purposeful leadership and political prowess, has earned you this prestigious nomination.
“May this award serve as a reminder – to you and all of us that leadership is a sacred trust and many generations yet unborn read of your work and understand that once in our time, there was a legislator whose name became synonymous with quality representation.
“May your light continue to shine, not just in the Assembly but across the annals of history,” the felicitation concluded, wishing the lawmaker more landmark accomplishments in his career and life.
