OFFICIAL: Joao Felix Completes Permanent Move to Al Nassr from Chelsea

The permanent transfer of Portuguese international João Felix to Al Nassr of the Saudi Pro League has been formally announced by Chelsea Football Club.

With this move from London to Saudi Arabia, Felix’s two stints at Stamford Bridge—including a permanent transfer to the club last summer—come to an end.

After failing to properly establish himself under Enzo Maresca, the 25-year-old forward, who joined Chelsea permanently from Atletico Madrid last summer for over £45 million, spent the second half of the 2024–25 season on loan at AC Milan.

Al Nassr reportedly paid an initial fee of about £26 million (€30 million), with possible add-ons that might increase the player’s overall valuation to £43 million (€50 million) for the forward, who scored seven goals in his 20 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season.

Felix’s transfer to Al Nassr—where he will reunite with his Portugal national teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also a key figure at the Saudi club—was also officially announced by Chelsea.

“João Felix has departed Chelsea and signed a permanent deal with Al-Nassr.

“The Portugal international made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season, netting seven goals following his summer move to Stamford Bridge from Atletico Madrid.

“He spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at AC Milan and has now departed the Blues on a permanent basis, joining Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

“We thank João for his efforts across his two spells at the club and wish him well for the future.” Chelsea Football Club declared in a statement announcing the player’s departure.
