Obidient Movement to host mega charity rally in Lagos for Peter Obi’s birthday
The Lagos chapter of the Obidient Movement has announced plans to stage a mega charity rally across key locations in the state to commemorate the birthday of Mr Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
In a statement released on Sunday, the organisers said the event will take place on Friday, July 19, and will be simultaneously held in Ikeja, Festac, and Lekki.
Prince Saviour, one of the lead organisers, noted that the rally will be a platform to promote charitable acts and celebrate leadership values espoused by Peter Obi.
“The Lagos Mega Charity March will be a demonstration of love, unity, and public service in honour of Mr Peter Gregory Obi, a symbol of integrity and visionary leadership,” Saviour stated.
The charity-focused rally will feature free medical outreach programs, visits to orphanages, and various donation drives, aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities across the three locations.
He added: “This is more than a celebration; it’s a call to action. We urge Lagosians to participate in this purposeful march. Let’s show what true leadership and compassion look like. Be Obidient. Be present. Be the change.”
The rally is part of a broader initiative by the Obidient Movement, with parallel events expected to take place across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
