Nwabali supports ‘pained’ Osimhen

Stanley Nwabali has rallied behind Victor Osimhen following the forward’s failure to secure a move away from Serie A club Napoli.

Osimhen was determined to leave the Partenopei before Friday’s transfer deadline. A move to either the Saudi club Al Ahli or Premier League club Chelsea, however, collapsed.

The forward, who has now been removed from Napoli’s Serie A squad, now faces the prospect of waiting till next year before playing active football at the club level.

Nwabali took to social media to encourage his international teammate.

“All great legends and all Hall of Fame fighters have their storylines. Good, bad and worst kinds of views from people who have no idea what the real story is and what it takes. I would define a myth as a story that has survived. VO9,” he wrote on X.
