NPFL: Shooting Stars get Lawal boost for Bendel Insurance clash

Shooting Stars goalkeeper, Mustapha Lawal, has rejoined the team after representing Nigeria’s Super Eagles B at the 2024 African Nations Championship.

Lawal featured twice for the Super Eagles during the tournament.

He has been named in Shooting Stars’ squad for the matchday two clash with Bendel Insurance.

Last season, he kept 16 clean sheets in 29 games.

The shot-stopper’s experience is expected to provide stability and leadership in goal as Shooting Stars look to bounce back from an opening-day defeat to Bayelsa United.

The encounter is scheduled for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday (today).
