NPFL: Finidi sets target for Eko International Cup

Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George says that the Eko International pre-season tournament will give his team the opportunity to map out strategies for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Pride of Rivers are one of the teams that will participate in the competition.

Rivers United will take on Shooting Stars in their first game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

Finidi assured that his team will approach the competition with seriousness.

“We have an opportunity to evaluate the work we have put in after four weeks. We will approach this preseason with every seriousness and see how it goes,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.

“We want to look at the team, build on our strength and if there are still areas to correct, we see and work on it. The team is still in progress.”

Rivers United are also gearing up for the CAF Champions League next season.
