Total market capitalisation expanded by 0.24% to N70.635 trillion compared to the previous N70.463 trillion valuation, representing a N172 billion increase in aggregate market value.
Trading activity involved 517.9 million share units changing hands across 17,019 transactions with total values reaching N10 billion.
Market sentiment remained mixed, with 23 stocks recording price gains while 33 securities experienced declining values, resulting in negative breadth.
MULTIVERSE emerged as the session’s top performer, surging 9.87% to close at N8.35 from its previous N7.60 trading level.
Additional strong performers included Live Stocks, LASACO, and NEIMETH, which posted gains of 9.57%, 8.11%, and 8.06%, respectively.
Legend Internet topped the declining stocks list, dropping 9.90% to finish at N5.55 after opening at N6.16.
Other significant decliners included Secure Electronic Technology, ETRANZACT, and University Press, which fell 9.85%, 9.56%, and 9.32%, respectively.
Fidelity Bank dominated trading volumes with approximately 99 million shares transacted through 594 deals worth roughly N1.88 billion.
Royal Exchange recorded significant activity with about 58 million shares traded in 44 transactions valued at N50 million.
ACCESSCORP generated substantial interest with around 55 million shares changing ownership through 1,177 deals totalling approximately N1.2 billion in value.
