Nigerian Breweries Posts N733.19 billion Revenue in Q2 2025

Nigerian Breweries Plc, maker of Star Lager Beer has bounced back to profit, posting N99.1 billion after tax for the year ended December 31, 2025 following a loss of N144.9 billion in 2024, news.ng reports.

In its audited financial statements made available on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) website Friday, the group made a revenue of N1.467 trillion in 2025 as against the N1.084 trillion – that is a 35% increase year-on-year (Y-o-Y) record.

Also, the company recorded N36% jump in revenue to N1.462 trillion, as indicated in the statement.

Impressively, the revenue growth recorded helped the company achieved a gross profit of N565.2 billion – a 77% increase from the previous N319.9 billion in 2024 following the adoption of some key strategies in pricing, sales and management in the stated year.

While there was an increase in cost of sales – an 18% rise at N902.2 billion, a 43% increase in marketing, distribution and administrative expenses was at N364.1 billion, the brewer saw an improvement in operating performance.

As indicated, operating activities signalled a 194% rise to N205.2 billion as against N69.9 billion in 2024.

Also, there was a sharp decline in expense falling to N44.1 billion from the N252.8 billion in 2024 – an 83% reduction, playing a vital role in reversing the company’s profit before tax loss in 2024.

As expected, there was a profit before tax of N161.1 billion from the N182.9 billion loss in 2024.

After settling the income tax expense of N62.0 billion, profit after tax from continuing operations hit N99.1 billion – a 168% increase year-on-year.

More importantly, the company returned to the green territory on its earnings per share which rose to 319 kobo in 2025 compared to the 1,207 kobo in 2024.

Profit made by equity holders stood at N99.1 billion as against an abysmal loss of N144.9 in 2024.

See more details on the audited financial statements below.
