Nigerian Bourse Records 939 million Shares Worth N34bn As Market Cap Stood at N114.4trn

Market watchers on Wednesday witnessed a total of 939,049,786 shares in 61,170 deals, corresponding to a market value of N34,003,611,100.11 traded on the floor of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), news.ng reports.
According to data obtained by this medium, today’s trading declined by 11% compared to yesterday, February 10, 2026.
Turnover was also down by 30%, while deals improved by 4%. Market capitalisation stood at N114.4 trillion.
Overall, out of the 133 listed equities, 49 recorded gains while 31 closed in the red.
Top gainers included Nestle Nigeria, which closed at N2,420 per share, as well as Meyer Paints, Consolidated Hallmark Holdings, and Fortis Global, all of which closed Wednesday’s trading session up 10%.
On the flip side, Honeywell Flour Mill topped the losers’ chart as its share price depreciated by 9.7% to N22.80 kobo. Neimeth International Pharma also suffered a loss of 9.15%, while The Initiates lost 5.81% and RT Briscoe shed 5.7%.
Tantalizers led Wednesday’s trading volume with 85.3 million shares exchanged. Access Holdings followed with 61.4 million shares, Chams recorded 38.6 million, while Japaul Gold and Ventures trailed with 38.2 million shares.
