National Sports Festival: Uzodimma Rallies Team Imo for Victory

The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has charged the state contingents at the 22nd National Sports Festival hosted by Ogun State to bring glory to the state by winning medals.

The governor stated this as he joined the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, at the opening ceremony of the sports festival in Ogun State.
Uzodimma stated that as a government, they are committed to the peace and progress of the nation, of which sports are a unifying factor across various ethnicities in the country.
He charged the state contingents to go all out for glory by bringing home medals and assured them that the state is fully behind them.
He said, “I joined His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, as he declared open, on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the 22nd National Sports Festival hosted in Ogun State.
“As a government, we remain firmly committed to the stability and progress of Nigeria, and we recognise sports as a powerful vehicle for fostering peace, resilience, and shared identity among our diverse communities.
“In that spirit, I proudly extend my support and encouragement to the Imo State contingent. Compete with honour, give your best, and bring home medals that will make our state proud. We are all behind you – onwards to victory.”
