Natasha: US-Based Activist To Unveil ‘Evidence’ Of Alleged Plot Against Akpabio

A US-based Nigerian media practitioner, Dr Sandra Duru-Eluobi, also known as Prof. Mgbeke, has announced plans to reveal what she claims is explosive evidence implicating suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in a plot to undermine Senate President Godswill Akpabio and destabilise Nigeria’s federal government.
The founder of the Pre-Adult Affairs Organisation (PAAO) made the announcement on her Facebook handle “Prof Mgbeke”, promising to present unedited voice recordings, screenshots and forensic analysis during Facebook Live broadcasts scheduled for Thursday and Friday at 7 PM Nigerian time.
“What is happening is not activism. It is an orchestrated strategy and an abuse of gender advocacy, a staged performance designed to provoke public sympathy and manufactured false narratives and target political opponents,” Mgbeke stated.
Prof. Mgbeke claims the senator confessed ambitions to dismantle what she termed the “Yoruba Government” and sought her assistance in spreading propaganda, resorting to threats when Mgbeke refused.
The former Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) official also suggested that Akpoti-Uduaghan disrupted her own petition against Akpabio.
“Don’t be fooled by her or her paid mouthpiece, ARISE TV. Natasha Akpoti openly admitted that she hired Dr Oby Ezekwesili and FIDA as her ‘useful idiots’ to attend the committee’s public hearings with the deliberate intention of disrupting the proceedings and stalling progress. Now, she’s chewing her words,” she posted on Facebook.
THE WHISTLER reported a heated feud between Akpoti-Uduaghan and Akpabio. In February 2025, Akpoti-Uduaghan, one of four female senators in Nigeria’s 109-seat Senate, accused Akpabio of making unwanted sexual advances in 2023, claiming her refusal led to her six-month suspension and obstruction of her legislative motions. She says she has evidence to present in court, but has not yet made it public.
In April, she further accused Akpabio, former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, and Governor Usman Ododo of plotting to assassinate her and frame her constituents. Akpabio and Bello have denied the allegations, labelling them defamatory and petitioning the Inspector General of Police for an investigation.
Mgbeke claims to have escalated her concerns to international and national authorities.
“I fought for this woman without even knowing her until she reached out to me, and OUR God exposed her evil plans. I did everything within my power to advise her to stop and make peace after she confessed everything to me, including her new schemes, but she refused.
“I even offered to sponsor and facilitate the peace process anywhere in the world, at any location of her choice, yet she still declined. At that point, I had no choice but to escalate the matter: I reached out to the appropriate authorities both locally and internationally, including the IPU and other agencies, and presented them with the NEW TRUTH,” she added, sharing a blurred screenshot of her conversation with the senator on WhatsApp.
Dr Sandra had earlier made Facebook posts in support of Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan, as well as raised a petition which she said was to “protect our daughters, wives and mothers from sexual predators”.
