The naira continued its appreciation on Friday to end the week on a good note.

DAILY POST reports that in the last two days, the naira had appreciated by N126.64 against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market.

Meanwhile, the naira closed at N1700 per dollar on Friday at the black market, with N5 depreciation compared to the N1695 exchange rate on Thursday.

The development comes as the Central Bank of Nigeria sold foreign exchange to Bureau De Change operators at N1590 per dollar on Wednesday.

On a week-on-week basis, the naira appreciated slightly compared to the N1541.52 exchanged last Friday at the official market.
