The naira continued appreciation against the dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday.

This is according to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s data.

The apex bank exchange data on its official website showed that the naira strengthened slightly to N1,534.52 against the dollar on Thursday from N1,534.83 recorded on Wednesday.

This means that the Naira gained marginally by 0.3 on a day-to-day basis.

At the black market, the Naira remained flat at N1,565 per dollar on Thursday, the same rate traded on the previous day.

Recall that on Wednesday, the Naira appreciated across official and parallel foreign exchange markets.

CBN, in a recent statement by its spokesperson, Hakama Sidi Ali, advised Nigerians against spraying, hawking, mutilating, or counterfeiting the Naira.
