Motorist arrested for crushing government plants in Kano
The Kano State Road Transport Authority (KAROTA) has arrested a motorist for allegedly violating the traffic law by trampling on government plants on Murtala Muhammad Road in Kano.
The spokesperson of KAROTA, Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, said the driver violated traffic law and would be charged to court to serve as a deterrent to those who attempt to break the law.
Sharada also urged drivers to desist from violating the traffic law “KAROTA will not turn a blind eye to the destruction of public property and any kind of traffic violation”
The Kano state government, as part of its urban renewal project has planted several trees and flowers along major roads to mitigate climate change.
