Hundreds of Yobe State residents took to the streets of Damaturu on Saturday, marking the 10th day of the #EndBadGovernance protests.

The demonstrators called for urgent action from President Bola Tinubu to address the socio-economic crisis currently gripping the nation.

The one-million-man march in Yobe is part of a nationwide movement that has seen massive participation across various states.

Protesters passionately demanded swift government intervention to alleviate the hardships caused by what they described as failed economic policies.

Meanwhile, in Abuja, a group known as Women Against Hunger held a significant rally in front of the National Stadium, drawing attention to the widespread hunger and economic distress.

The women, singing in unison, implored the government to acknowledge the suffering of Nigerians.

Their chants in pidgin English echoed the growing discontent: “If you see Tinubu, tell ham say Hunger dey, if you see Akpabio, tell ham say we dey for Stadium, hunger dey. If you see Shettima, tell ham say hunger dey.”

In Oyo State, a remarkable scene unfolded as a woman, over 70 years old, joined the one-million-man march, adding her voice to the ongoing protest.

In a video shared online, the elderly woman expressed her distress over the economic challenges facing the country.

“We are not violent protesters. Help us to beg President Bola Tinubu to pity us. We are hungry. And his government has turned many people into beggars.

“He should pity us. He should do this government better. We are not fighting. We are only protesting peacefully,” she pleaded.

The video, which has since gone viral, was captioned by one of the protesters on social media platform X: “Grand Finale #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria, the elders are out, hear their grievances #IbadanProtest we are not backing down on the struggle for total liberation. The aged are involved in protesting against #Hardship in the land.”
