Many Injured In Road Accident In Lagos

Road Accident In Lagos

Several people were injured on Monday in a road accident involving a truck and a commercial bus at Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State.

As of the time of filing this report, the exact number of casualties remains unclear, and it is yet to be confirmed if there were any fatalities.

A video shared by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) shows a victim trapped under the tyres of the truck, who appears to be dead.

The incident has caused significant disruption to traffic in the area, as emergency responders continue rescue operations.

“An accident occurred at Ibeju involving a truck conveying planks and a commercial bus,” LASTMA disclosed in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Several people got injured, and the rescue is still ongoing.

“Effort is ongoing for the recovery of the affected vehicles as well.

“Traffic is affected and our personnel are doing the needful,” the agency added.
