Man Utd, Barcelona players my favourites – Oshoala

Super Falcons attacker Asisat Oshoala has named Cristiano Ronaldo and Louis Saha among the male footballers she admires.

Oshoala revealed this while reflecting on her early inspirations in football, insisting that Manchester United and Barcelona players have always been her favourites.

The six-time CAF Women’s Player of the Year made the comments recently while speaking on Arise News.

“I did not have a female idol that I looked up to when I was younger because the games weren’t televised,” Oshoala said.

“You don’t see them in newspapers, news, and all that. I used to follow the male teams, I supported male sports people more. I liked Cristiano Ronaldo and Louis Saha.

“Most of the time, Barcelona and United players are always my favourite players.”

Oshoala, who currently plays for Bay FC, has previously featured for Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool.
