In a daring operation, a local security outfit known as Royal Fouche Security Services Ltd., also known as the Amama Soldiers, has successfully rescued 19 passengers who were abducted by pirates while traveling to Bille along the Isaka River.
The passengers were held captive for 21 days and were asked to pay a ransom of ₦100 million.
The rescue operation was made possible after one of the victims, who had previously paid a ₦10 million ransom, alerted one of the king of the area, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari.
The mornach promptly mobilized his security outfit, leading to a successful rescue mission.

Speaking before handing over of the rescued victims, The Amanyanabo of Torusarama-Piri and CEO of Royal Fouche Security Services Ltd., Dokubo-Asari, vowed to eradicate piracy on Rivers State waterways.
He condemned the kidnappers’ actions as barbaric and inhumane and assured the public that those responsible would be tracked down and brought to justice.
“We call on the public to share useful information that can help prevent future attacks. Together, we will secure our communities,” he stated.
The rescued passengers have been handed over to the Department of State Services (DSS) for documentation and further actions before being reunited with their families.
Unfortunately, one of the victims, Corporal Salisu Ibrahim of the Nigerian Army, remains unaccounted for after being taken away separately by the kidnappers.
