Moses Simon opened his goal account for the new season as Nantes recorded a 2-0 victory against Auxerre.

Simon curled in expertly from inside the box in the 14th minute.

The Nigeria international was replaced by Egypt international Mostafa Mohamed in the 78th minute.

Nantes extended their lead in stoppage time through Baherba Guirassy.

It was the Canaries first league win of the season.

The former Ligue 1 champions held Toulouse to a 0-0 draw in their opening fixture of the season.

Auxerre paraded Nigerian defender Gabriel Osho for 90 minutes in the game.
