Kaduna Governor Reaffirms Support For Military

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the military in their efforts to ensure peace and security in the state.

The governor pledged during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day ceremony held at the main bowl of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Wednesday.

The governor, represented by the Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Yusuf Liman Dahiru, paid tribute to the nation’s fallen heroes, saying, “Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honour their memory.”

He also commended the military for their bravery and sacrifice in tackling insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole.

Governor Sani emphasized that security was a collective effort and pledged to continue supporting the military and other security agencies to achieve a peaceful and secure state.

He said, “We are here to remember our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of the nation. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honour their memory.

“We commend the military for their efforts in tackling insecurity in Kaduna and Nigeria. Their bravery and sacrifice are appreciated, and we will continue to support them.

“We will continue to support the military and other security agencies in their efforts to ensure peace and security in Kaduna State.

“We believe that security is a collective effort, and we will continue to work together to achieve our goal of a peaceful and secure state.”

Additionally, he promised to prioritize the welfare of widows and orphans of fallen heroes, ensuring they are empowered and lifted out of poverty.

Our correspondent reports that after the Remembrance Day ceremony, the Speaker, accompanied by other dignitaries, paid a visit to wounded soldiers at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in the state capital.

The gesture aimed to boost the morale of the brave soldiers recovering from their injuries.

The ceremony was attended by top government officials, and military personnel including heads of security agencies in the state, traditional leaders and other stakeholders, demonstrating a united front in honouring the nation’s fallen heroes and supporting the military’s efforts to ensure peace and security.
