Improvement on NGX as 936.25m Shares Traded, Deals Surge to 49,888

A total of 936,250,653 shares changed hands in 49,888 deals as market value reached N52.6 billion, marking the end of week trading on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on Friday, February 13, 2026.
News.ng reports that Friday’s trading showed a level of improvement from Thursday’s trading as data shows 34% improvement in volume, 85% improvement in turnover, but 2% decline in deals.
The current market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange is N117 trillion.
Friday’s trading recorded 53 Gainers and 33 losers out of the 132 listed equities on the NGX.
Nestle Nigeria led the gainers chart with 10% as its share price closed at N2,662.00, followed by Union Dicon Salt at 10% to close at N20.90 kobo, and Infinity Trust Mortgage Bank also closed at 10% as its share price for the last trading weekday was at N9.90 kobo.
Others include McNichols (10%) to close at N7.70 kobo, Cornerstone Insurance share price increased at 10%, closing Friday at N6.38 kobo, while Okomu Oil was at 9.99% to close at N1,327.00.
On the losers’ chart, Skyway Aviation Handling Co. suffered a 10% loss at N135.00 per share, followed by Guinness Nigeria losing 9.97% to close at N315.
Omatek Ventures followed suit with a 9.39% loss at N2.99 kobo.
Others include Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Microfinance Bank, which lost on Friday at 6.51% to close N5.60 kobo, E-Tranzact followed with a 6.33% loss, closing the day at N22.95 kobo, while the Austin Laz share price closed at N4.80 kobo, representing a 5.70%.
On the number of shares traded by equities, First HoldCo recorded the highest volume of 106 million traded shares, followed by Zenith Bank having 72.6 million shares traded, United Capital, which recorded 45.4 million shares, and Guaranty Trust Holding, which had 45 million shares traded.
