After ten weeks of laughter, rivalry, and raw emotions, Imisi Ayanwale has emerged the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, themed “10/10.”

The 23-year-old entertainer beat fellow finalist Dede whose real name is Precious Ashiogwu to clinch the grand prize worth ₦150m in prizes at the live finale on Sunday night.

The much-anticipated finale, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, brought an exhilarating end to a season that kept millions glued to their screens.

The eviction order saw Kaybobo, Isabella, Mensan, Jason Jae, Kola, Sultana, and Koyin leave the house in that order, leaving Dede and Imisi as the last two standing.

Moments later, Ebuka announced Imisi as the winner, prompting loud cheers from the studio audience and emotional reactions from fans across the country.

The Oyo-born entertainer, visibly overwhelmed, knelt down and burst into tears as confetti rained down to celebrate her victory.

Moments after his eviction, Kola told Ebuka he was genuinely rooting for Imisi to win, while being grateful for reaching Finals. Mensan, who was overjoyed to see his mother as he stepped out of the house, had one of the night’s most heartwarming moments, while other housemates expressed gratitude for their journey, calling the BBNaija experience “a blessing and a turning point.”

Imisi’s victory came as a powerful conclusion to what many have hailed as one of the most engaging and emotionally charged seasons yet.

Her journey through the Big Brother Naija house was anything but smooth. Known for her humour and authenticity, she also made headlines for her fiery temper and confrontations, particularly with Faith.

Their clashes, which at one point spiralled into a heated altercation over cooking duties and house rules, became defining moments of the season.

She was also involved in verbal disputes with housemates like Rooboy and Koyin, often standing her ground and refusing to be intimidated.

Yet, beneath the strong personality lay a deeply talented, charismatic, emotional and relatable side that resonated with viewers.

Her ability to move from chaos to calm laughing through tension, showing vulnerability after conflict, and maintaining a distinct sense of self made her one of the most talked-about contestants of the season.

From being misunderstood to becoming a fan favourite, Imisi’s journey reflected resilience, self-awareness, and growth, all of which ultimately endeared her to millions of fans who voted her the winner.

THE WHISTLER reports that Dede’s Journey, on the other hand was equally complex. Early on, she opened up about struggling with social anxiety, explaining that she is introverted and sometimes uncomfortable with certain social expectations, like hugging other housemates.

Several housemates commented on her being distant or unapproachable, especially during group dynamics or social engagements. She also faced accusations by Jason and Kola that she had “used” relationships with them for strategic attention before shifting to others, including Koyin.

Dede has herself spoken about her values, saying she believes in loyalty in relationships, intolerance for betrayal, and that she doesn’t take infidelity lightly.

Despite controversial moments including accusations from Big Soso that she was manipulating male housemates with emotional games, Dede remained a major presence.

She openly addressed perceptions of being “doing too much” and not being approachable, which often left her visibly hurt though she maintained her stance.

She won admiration from fans specially for her fiery spirit, sharp wit, and unapologetic personality, which made her one of the most talked-about housemates of the season.

Big Brother Naija Season 10, which premiered on July 26, lived up to its “10/10” theme with unforgettable twists and high-stakes drama.

From Faith’s disqualification to red telephone calls to Kaybobo’s daring ₦10m gamble for a spot in the finale. Each moment added to a season that will be remembered for its blend of humour, heartbreak, and ambition.

With her win, Imisi joins the elite list of BBNaija champions, etching her name into the show’s legacy. As she walks away with prizes worth ₦150m, her journey from a funny, down-to-earth contestant to Nigeria’s newest reality TV star marks the perfect ending to a season truly deserving of its name “10/10.”
