I’m Only Surviving Member Of My Bloodline-Skales

Nigerian singer Skales has expressed regret over not having baby mamas, following the death of his mother in October 2022.

In a recent interview with BET Africa, the artist revealed how the loss of his mother made him to feel the pressure of the responsibility to continue his family’s bloodline.

“Right now, I regret not having baby mamas. I really regret it because I’m the only person in my family bloodline that is alive. So, the whole bloodline relies on me to produce,” he said noting that, “When my mom died, that’s when I realized there’s not much left of my bloodline.”

Skales, 33, welcomed his first child in March 2023 with wife Precious Njeng-Njeng. The couple got married in May 2021.

Earlier this year, the singer made headlines when he compared himself to the biblical King Solomon, and revealed that he had dated about 100 women.

Skales, who started writing rap songs in 2000, has collaborated with popular artists like Akon, Banky W, and Falz.

In April, he teamed up with Akon for the single “Kowope,” a song he dedicated to hardworking people.

After he parted ways with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), Skales spoke about his struggles growing up in poverty. He recalled doing menial jobs, including helping classmates with their homework, just to earn money.

While recalling his difficult childhood, he said, “Growing up was really tough. It was depressing because the things my peers could afford, I couldn’t. As a kid, I felt bad.

“I did a lot of things back then just to get money including helping other students with their homework. I came from a very poor family.”
