IGP Deploys New CPs To Borno, Jigawa, Others

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Sunday, charged the newly appointed Commissioners of Police in key state commands to strengthen security structures and enhance professional policing across the country.

The deployments affect the Borno, Cross River, Jigawa, Osun, and Ondo State Police Commands.

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, explained that the appointments reflect the IGP’s strategic intent to promote professional leadership in areas critical to national security, while boosting the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force.

Egbetokun noted that the redeployments will utilise the senior officers’ vast experience to implement effective policing strategies and ensure the protection of lives and property in their respective jurisdictions.

Reaffirming the Police Force’s dedication to justice, Egbetokun emphasised that these appointments support ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and prosecute offenders through enhanced inter-agency collaboration and judicial diligence.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the Police in their mission to maintain peace and security across the country.

“He reassured members of the public of the Force’s commitment to ensuring a safer and secure nation.

“He also called for the continued support and collaboration of citizens in the collective fight against crime and criminality” the force PRO noted.
