Ibas Releases List Of Sole Administrators For Rivers LGAs, Commission

The Rivers State Government has made a significant announcement regarding new appointments for the 23 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and various commissions in the state. This move is part of the government’s efforts to strengthen governance and drive development in the state.

According to the announcement, His Excellency, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas CFR, Administrator of Rivers State, has approved the appointments, which take effect from Monday, April 7, 2025. The appointments cover various LGAs, as well as the Rivers State Electoral Commission, Civil Service Commission, and Local Government Service Commission.

These appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the LGAs and commissions, driving progress and development in the state. The government’s commitment to leadership renewal and reform is evident in this move, which aims to enhance governance and service delivery in the state.
