Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State on Inter-Party Affairs, Nkoyo Otu has appealed to the leadership of the new coalition party, African Democratic Congress, ADC, to support the unity and progress of the state.

Nkoyo made the appeal when she and her team called on the Deputy National Vice Chairman of ADC, Pastor Usani Usani, on Monday at Usani’s Calabar residence.

Addressing Usani, she stressed the need for all potical parties- both ruling and opposition- to work together on the road to ensuring a peaceful and transparent electoral process.

She also emphasized the importance of building the democratic processes on the “Think Cross River” policy.

Nkoyo promised to use her noble office to always promote peaceful coexistence and progressive alliances.

Responding, the former Minister of Niger-Delta Affairs underscored and consolidated on this premise and pledged to always work for the growth and sustenance of Cross River State and her commonwealth.

Usani, however, harped on the need for people to be loyal to ideology rather than individuals; if true political progress must be achieved.

He said this change of mindset will greatly improve the sustainability of our political systems and reduce the rate of corruption.
