Gov Mbah Visits Late Christian Chukwu’s Family

Yesterday, I paid a condolence visit to the widow and family of our late legend, Chairman Christian Chukwu, who passed away while I was on an official trip outside the country.
Chukwu was more than a football icon. He was a national treasure, a symbol of dedication, discipline and inspiration to many. His name is etched into the history of sports in Nigeria and beyond. We, the people and government of Enugu State, are thoroughly devastated by his death.
I want his family to know that they are not alone in this moment. This is a collective loss. We will walk with them through this difficult time, and will ensure that his name and legacy are immortalised in a manner befitting the greatness he embodied.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
