Gov Fubara Commiserates With Gov Eno Over Wife’s Death
The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on behalf of the Government of the state, has commiserated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on the demise of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following a brief illness.
The governor, in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, in Port Harcourt on Friday, expressed shock over the sad news of the passing of the First Mother of Akwa Ibom State on September 26, 2024.
He said, “We received with sadness the news of the death of your lovely wife, Pastor Mrs Patience Umo Eno, who transitioned to glory on 26th September 2024.
“Although death is a certain end for every mortal, it is always painful to experience the loss of someone so dear to you, particularly one with whom you have had a special bond for many years. This is why we truly understand how devastating this must be for you, knowing how close you were to your wife and the positive influence she has had on you as a strong dependable pillar of support and inspiration.
“While we lack words to express the loss you bear, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the good Lord encourage and strengthen you and members of your family at this time of grief.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Rivers State, I pray God Almighty to grant you and the entire Eno family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Please, accept our sincere condolences,” he said.
