FG Pledges Technological Support For Construction Sector
The Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has pledged the commitment of his ministry to improve technological advancement in the construction industry.
The minister spoke in Abuja when the Chief Executive Officer of Cipriani Limited, a real estate firm, Segun Maku, paid a visit to the ministry.
Nnaji emphasized the ministry’s commitment to supporting the initiative by providing essential facilities and land for the development of these smart cities.
“We are committed to creating the necessary environment to foster technological advancement and develop the requisite manpower for this project,” Nnaji stated.
Earlier, Maku had sought a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology to develop smart cities in Abuja, the federal capital territory.
The partnership aims to transform smart building practices in Abuja and its surrounding areas, integrating advanced technology and innovation into the city’s infrastructure.
He said, “Cipriani’s partnership with the Federal Ministry of Science,Technology and Innovation to develop a smart city in Abuja aims to integrate advanced technology, innovation, and sustainability into the city’s infrastructure, paving the way for a future-focused urban environment.
“This strategic partnership is particularly important as the government has now proven it’s commitment in identifying with 3D technology because they is the future of the construction sector not only in Nigeria or Africa but the world at large,” he said.
