FG Approves Prof Chukwu New Vice-Chancellor Of Admiralty University

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Professor Lucian O. Chukwu as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University, Ibuzor, Delta State.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Folasade Boriowo on Monday, the decision was made after a rigorous selection exercise conducted by the Governing Council of Admiralty University on February 26-27, 2025.
Chukwu emerged as the top candidate, scoring an impressive 83.41 percent among the five interviewed candidates.
The statement noted that his appointment is a testament to the federal government’s commitment to upholding merit-based principles.
Chukwu’s appointment will be effective for a single tenure of five years starting from February 28, 2025.
“In line with the principle of merit being upheld by the federal government, the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has approved the appointment of Professor Lucian O. Chukwu as the substantive Vice-Chancellor of Admiralty University, Ibuzor. The appointment is for a single tenure of five years with effect from 28th February, 2025.
“The Honourable Minister wishes the new Vice-Chancellor a successful tenure of office,” the statement said.
