Former Real Madrid midfielder, Rafael van der Vaart has named Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as the best player in the world ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
Van der Vaart insisted that Salah’s consistency puts him ahead of the Real Madrid forwards at the moment.
Salah has been impressive for Liverpool so far this season.
The Egyptian international has led Arne Slot’s side to top the Premier League table with his goals so far this term.
Speaking to BetMGM, Van der Vaart said: “I think so, yes, [Mohamed] Salah is the best. I am a big fan of [Kylian] Mbappe but he is not showing it at the moment.
“You have Vinicius Jr too, but I think that Salah has been consistent for so many years.”
“You can see [Mohamed Salah] feels really at home at Liverpool and he should stay,” he added.
