EPL: Man Utd expect Ugarte to play against Liverpool

Manchester United expect new signing Manuel Ugarte to be available for their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Ugarte is set to complete his medicals on Thursday, ahead of his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

After that, the Uruguay defender will sign off on the personal terms of a long-term contract.

The Red Devils remain confident he will be registered by midday on Friday to be available for the Reds’ visit.

United will pay PSG an initial €50m (£42m) plus €10m (£8.4m) in performance-related add-ons.

Erik ten Hag’s men won their first game 1-0 against Fulham before losing 2-1 at Brighton last week.
