Ola Aina has said he is delighted to sign a contract extension with Premier League club, Nottingham Forest.

The Tricky Trees announced on Monday, that the Nigeria international has penned a three-year contract that will see him remain at the City Ground until 2028.

Aina scored twice and registered one assist to help Nuno Espirito Santo’s side finished in seventh position last season.

The 28-year-old was deployed mainly as a right-back for the majority of the campaign.

The defender who won one Player of the Month award, also claimed the Goal of the Month prize once.

“I’m over the moon, I can’t wait to continue this journey with the Club. It’s always felt like a home ever since I joined and I’m happy to be here. Now my focus is on preparing for the new season well and getting back to hard work,” he told the club’s official website.

Aina moved to Forest on a free transfer two years ago.

He has featured in 59 games across all competitions for the Reds.
