EPL: FA punishes Chelsea after 2-1 win over Newcastle United

The FA has slammed Chelsea with a fine of £75,000 for picking up six yellow cards in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday, according to sports journalist Kieran Gill
DAILY POST reports that this is the third time this season that the west London side have registered six yellow cards in a single game.
The Blues took the lead against Newcastle United in the 18th minute through Nicolas Jackson.
However, Newcastle United drew level in the 32nd minute through thanks to Alexander Isak’s 32nd-minute strike.
Cole Palmer scored the winning goal in the second half to help his team secure all three points.
However, Chelsea’s disciplinary issues have now cost them for the third time this season.
Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, Christopher Nkunku, Weskey Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke were all shown yellow cards during the game.
Recall that the Blues had similar disciplinary issues in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth, where they received eight cautions and were handed a £25,000 fine.
The London giants registered six yellow cards in the 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest earlier this month and were fined £50,000 by the FA.
Following the latest incident, Chelsea have now been fined £150,000 in total for disciplinary issues this season.
They are now the first team in the Premier League to receive six yellow cards or more in three games in one campaign.
