Don’t Divert N5m Single Digit Interest Loan, FG Begs MSMEs
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, of the Bank of Industry, Dr Olasupo Olusi has called on Micro Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to access the single-digit interest loan of the federal government.
He said this at an event organised by the Federal Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments.
Represented by the Executive Director, MSMEs, at BoI Umar Shekarau, Olusi said out of N200bn Presidential Intervention Fund, N75bn was set aside for MSMEs.
He said the fund ready to be disbursed to beneficiaries at just nine per cent interest should not be accessed through intermediaries.
“The loan is nine per cent three years tenure. A single MSME can collect up to N5m single digits.
“We maintain our integrity as BoI and disburse the funds.”
Speaking the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Sen. John Eno, pledged the government’s commitment to the growth of MSMEs.
