The remains of former President Muhammadu Buhari has finally been committed to mother earth following a committal ceremoney by the military.
Buhari was buried in his favourite spot in his compound in Daura, Katsina State according to Islamic rites.
This was after Islamic clerics performed the Janazah prayers by the Chief Imam of Daura amid a mammoth crowd including leaders both past, present, politicians, and industrialists.
Buhari died in London Clinic on Sunday at the age of 82 where he was treating an undisclosed illness.
Following his death, President Bola Tinubu dispatched Vice President Kashim Shettima to London to escort the corpse back home.
Buhari’s corpse was accompanied from London by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and family members.
