Beyond the Tackle: Musiala Forgives Donnarumma, Says 'No One to Blame' for Leg Fracture

Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has publicly stated that “there’s no one to blame” for the severe left leg fracture he sustained following a challenge from Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma during a Club World Cup match.

The 22-year-old underwent surgery after returning to Germany and is expected to be sidelined for several months. The injury occurred during a scramble for the ball late in the first half of PSG’s 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in Saturday’s quarterfinal. Musiala suffered a dislocated ankle and a fractured fibula.

Sharing an update on Instagram, Musiala expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and emphasized the unpredictable nature of such incidents.

“I want to say that there is no one to blame for this. Situations like this happen,” Musiala said in a short video (via Telegraph India).
“I want to thank you all for the lovely support. It really means a lot to me. It’s nice to see the football world come together in a time like this, and I appreciate it.
The surgery went well. I am in good care and will use the next period to rebuild my strength and stay positive.”

Donnarumma, visibly shaken after the incident, later posted a message to Musiala, offering prayers and well wishes. Musiala responded graciously, saying:
“Thank you for your wishes, and don’t worry! That’s part of football.”
