Bayern Munich Suffer Kane Injury Blow

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Harry Kane is expected to be out of action for a few weeks following a hamstring injury against Dortmund on Saturday.
Kane was subbed off after 33 minutes in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Borussia Dortmund, and he is expected to miss Bayern’s German Cup clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
Bayern confirmed Kane’s injury in a statement on Sunday.
The Statement Reads: “Harry Kane picked up a minor muscle strain in his right hamstring in FC Bayern’s Bundesliga match at Borussia Dortmund yesterday. A scan by the FC Bayern medical unit confirmed this. Bayern will therefore be without Kane, 31, for the time being.”
According to reports in Germany, Kane is expected to miss two weeks of action. Bayern have five more fixtures remaining in 2024.
After Leverkusen’s visit, Bayern hosted Heidenheim before playing Shakhtar Donetsk in Gelsenkirchen, facing Mainz in the Bundesliga and hosting RB Leipzig in the year’s final match.
The England striker has missed just two games with injury since moving to Bayern in the summer of 2023. At the end of the 2023-24 season, Kane sat out two matches with a back injury.
Kane has scored 20 goals in 19 games in all competitions for the German giants this season.
Bayern Munich are seven points clear on the Bundesliga log following the 1-1 draw against Dortmund.
In the Champions League, the six-time winners sit in 13th place after five games, with three wins and two losses.
