Arteta Confirms Saka’s Return To Face Fulham

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka is fit again, and he is ready to feature in their Premier League clash against Fulham on Tuesday.
The England international has been out of action since December after suffering a hamstring injury in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
He has been out of action since then with the club applying caution in his recovery timeline to allow him to regain full fitness before playing again.
Arteta has now revealed that Saka is ready to play against Fulham at the Emirates Stadium o. Tuesday.
He said: “Bukayo is ready to go. All the careful things have already been done, so now it’s about putting him on the grass in the right moments.
“He’s pushing because he really wants it. We have respected the timeframe, we have done everything, and we even had to hold him back at times, but now he’s ready to go.
“He’s another massive weapon that we have. We know the impact he has on the team and how important his role and contribution are to our success, so it’s great to have him back.”
Arteta also provided an update on Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurriel Timber who suffered injuries on international duties last week.
He said: “He picked up an injury again with the national team. It’s really unfortunate the way it happened. It could have been much worse, so hopefully, it’s just a matter of weeks, but we’ll have to see how the injury evolves.
“Jurrien was ill for a long period, quite badly. He’s felt much better in the last few days, so he’s available.”
Saka’s return is a major booster for Arsenal ahead of their Champions League round of 16 clash against Real Madrid next week, and also their title race run-in in the Premier League.
The Gunners trail leaders Liverpool by 12 points with eight matches to go, their only realistic hope of winning a trophy this season is in the Champions League.
Saka has scored nine goals and recorded 10 assists in all competitions for Arsenal this season.
