The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended Nigerian workers on the 2025 International Workers’ Day and acknowledged their role in the country’s economic growth and the implementation of President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC hailed Nigerian workers as “indispensable partners” in delivering the policies and programs that underpin national development and improve the lives of citizens.

“Our great Party joins other Nigerians in tribute to the industry, patriotism, and resilience of our workers. Workers are frontline drivers of innovation and reforms under President Tinubu’s administration, and we deeply value their immeasurable contributions,” the statement read

The APC also praised labour and trade union leaders for their commitment to constructive dialogue with the current administration, describing them as critical stakeholders in managing disputes in ways that protect workers’ interests and foster national unity.

While highlighting the achievements of the Tinubu-led government under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the party pointed to several initiatives aimed at boosting social and economic inclusion.

It includes —an improved minimum wage, access to student loans, NHIS healthcare subsidies, food price interventions, and robust infrastructure development across the country.

“We wish Nigerian workers a happy and peaceful celebration,” the statement added
