Bruno Onyemaechi has expressed satisfaction with the team’s victory over Libya, even as he blasted the North Africans for their time-wasting antics.

Nigeria claimed a 1-0 victory over Nasser Al-Hadiri’s side, with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru netting the winning goal in the 86th minute.

“Important 3 points. Omo CAF suppose give them award on wasting time,” Onyemaechi, who plays for Portuguese club, Boavista wrote on X.

The Super Eagles maintained top spot in Group D with seven points from three games following the win.

Another win against the Mediterranean Knights in the reverse fixture in Benina next Tuesday will guarantee the Super Eagles a place at the 2025 AFCON finals which will be hosted by Morocco.

The game will kick-off at 8pm Nigeria time.
