Abia Govt To Release Names Of Successful Teacher Applicants
The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Elder Goodluck Chinedu Ubochi says the State Government will soon release the names of successful Candidates on the just concluded Abia Teachers Recruitment Exercise.
Elder Ubochi who stated this after monitoring School resumption in Aba said that the gesture is to fulfill the earlier promise made by the Governor, Dr Alex Otti to employ 5000 Teachers to fill the vacancies in the School System in the State.
The Commissioner said the Ministry will also organize an Orientation Training Program for the new Teachers to boost their knowledge and moral standards as well as complement the productivity , competence and service oriented policy of the present administration in the State.
He enjoined Abia Teachers to complement the efforts of the Governor by promoting transparency, decency, diligence and commitment to duties.
Elder Ubochi further expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance of Teachers and Students as at 7:30 am when he visited some Schools in Aba and further appealed to Parents and Guardians to release their Children and Wards to School as effective teaching and learning has commenced in earnest.
He assured the School Heads that his support and cooperation were necessary in order to move the education system forward to be the best in line with the Governor’s vision for the education sector.
