Abia CP Decorates Newly Promoted Officers, Calls For Professionalism
The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, on Friday, decorated 60 newly promoted ASPs, Inspectors, and other officers.
This ceremony was followed by a monthly Command’s conference for strategic officers at the officers’ mess on Friday.
During the conference, CP Danladi Isa commended the officers for their dedication and relentless efforts, particularly the tactical teams.
He acknowledged the significant achievements recorded by the Command, attributing them to the professionalism and resilience of officers.
“We have recorded significant achievements, and this is due to the professionalism and resilience of officers of the Command,” he said.
The CP lectured officers on key points from the recent IGP’s conference, emphasizing professionalism, integrity, intelligence-led policing, and timely response to security matters.
He also drew attention to the improvement in the welfare of retired police officers, performance evaluation, and the need to uphold confidentiality of official documents.
In his address, CP Danladi Isa urged officers to prioritize their physical and mental health, and to increase intelligence gathering efforts.
“Take care of your physical and mental health, and increase intelligence gathering efforts,” he said
He warned against unprofessional practices, such as unnecessary inspection of vehicle particulars to extort money from unsuspecting victims.

The CP also cautioned against over-detention, corruption, and any form of misconduct, calling on Heads of Departments (HODs) to properly supervise their subordinates and monitor their Areas of Responsibility (AORs).

The conference featured a special session on Life After Retirement, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration ACP Enahoro George and the Pension Officer of the Command.
